Shane D. Johnson is a Reader at the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science, University College London. He has a particular interest in the spatial and temporal distribution of crime, crime forecasting, and design against crime. He has conducted work for a variety of sponsors including the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Home Office, and currently coordinates an international research network funded by the British Academy. He has published more than 40 original research papers within the fields of criminology and forensic psychology. Johnson holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of Liverpool.
